These
guide prices are for newels that are turned, to match an existing post and are
up to 1500mm in length.
If you require a post longer than than 1500mm, please contact me to discuss
your requirements
If you require a newel or set of balusters that do not need to match an existing post, please call for a brochure.
Timber
prices are not added as they may vary.
As a guide:
90mm post: PINE is between £20 - £30.00
100mm post: PINE is between £30 - £45.00 (Will be laminated
from two sections.)
90mm post:
OAK is between £60 - £75.00
100mm post: OAK is between £80 - £105.00 (Will be laminated
from two sections.)
Please call for a firm quote.
Newel
posts that are larger than 90mm square, will be laminated from two or more sections
of timber. This is done because of the difficulty in obtaining timber that is
thicker than 90mm and has been kiln dried satisfactorily.
The glue used provides a bond that is stronger than the wood, and will not fail
during use.
